The Plan
When I started the blog, I was worried that a topic as narrow as net neutrality would be difficult to maintain. But, in fact, the net neutrality scene is surprisingly active, providing me a wealth things to post on.
That being said, I don’t know if I would continue to keep the blog focused on such a narrow and relatively obscure topic. those polled said they preferred on a wider range of legal issues in the digital age and the blog might attract a wider readership by expanding to address issues like copyright, open source projects, piracy etc.
The blog might also add some features to draw in more readers.
In order to better engage the community, I might consider adding a calendar of events highlighting net neutrality protests or community workshops and other events going on that they can participate in.
Also, I might add a section listing petitions and pending legislation on the topic so they can easily keep track of this complicated subject.
Posting on Wired and CNet blogs would also be a way to increase readership in my target demographic.
People seemed to respond to both the naked lady and the South Park clip, so I will try to find ways to add more nudity- and humor-based content to the site.
Additionally, more interviews with some of the big names in the field, like Lawrence Lessig or Timothy Wu could provide valuable insight while also tapping into the fan base these figures have attracted.
